Regina Randhofer is research associate at the European Center for Jewish Music at Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (Germany). She holds a diploma for teaching piano from Cologne University of Music, and a Ph.D. (Musicology) from the Faculty of Humanities, University of Cologne. After years of teaching (Hebrew University Jerusalem; Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg; Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music – State University, Budapest), she was from 2007 to 2015 research associate of the project “European Traditions – Encyclopedia of Jewish Cultures” (Saxon Academy of Sciences and Humanities) at the Simon Dubnow Institute for Jewish History and Culture, Leipzig. Her current research project “From Berlin to Jerusalem and Back – The Letters of German-Jewish Musicologist Edith Gerson-Kiwi (1908-1992)” deals with the estate of Edith Gerson-Kiwi and the German-Jewish heritage in Israel.
