The Jews of Frankfurt established a second Purim in 1616 in celebration of the downfall of a new Haman who tried to eradicate the local Jewish community.
Josh Weiner
Josh Weiner was born in Jerusalem where he studied and worked as a social worker. Now living in Berlin, he is in the first cohort of students at the Zacharias Frankel conservative rabbinical seminary. He is engaged in several educational initiatives in the city including the “Berlin Tisch” project for home-based Jewish empowerment.
