Zelda Harris
A founding member of "The 35's", the women's protest movement which took up the cause of Soviet Jewry during the 1970s and 80s. Zelda made Aliyah in 1949. She returned to the UK in 1966 before again moving to Israel in 1978. She was a co-founder, along with the late Chaim Herzog, of the Committee of Concerned Citizens to Fight for Electoral Reform. She served as director of the BIPAC office in Israel and also founded the Metuna organization for road safety with Ivan Pope in 1993.
