Martina Mampieri

Martina Mampieri

Martina Mampieri is a Martin Buber Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Between 2018 and 2020, she has held other postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard University, the University of Göttingen, and the Institut de recherche et d’histoire des textes in Paris. She specializes in the cultural and religious history of Italian Jewry and in the study of the Jewish book from the Renaissance to the modern era. She is the author of Living under the Evil Pope: The Hebrew Chronicle of Pope Paul IV by Benjamin Neḥemiah ben Elnathan from Civitanova Marche, 16th cent., (Brill, 2020) and several articles on cultural and religious Jewish history.
