Alexandra Ariotti is an archaeologist and independent researcher whose varied career has incorporated archaeology, history, museums, tourism and hospitality. She has worked on and directed field projects covering all periods of human history in Australia, Jordan, Israel, Cyprus and Greece. She also works as a guide and researcher at the Etz Hayyim Synagogue in Hania, Crete. Her publications reflect the diversity of her research interests and include everything from specialist Roman and Byzantine ceramic studies in archaeological reports to academic articles on Roman-Byzantine fortifications in Jordan, Byzantine mosaic pavements in synagogues and the archaeology of ANZAC operations in the First World War.
